January Furniture Show promises a taste of Italian living

The January Furniture Show – taking place between 13-15th January at the Birmingham NEC – has seen a new industry name added to its list of exhibitors. Leather upholstery manufacturer Italia Living is exhibiting for the first time at the NEC in hall 1, joining a host of other British and international furniture brands at the event, which is organised by industry experts Laraine Janes and Theresa Raymond.

Combining Italian design with the use of the latest Italian leathers, Italia Living creates stylish furniture aimed at the mid- to upper-end of the market. Its current range has been specially designed and created for the UK market to take into account specific comfort requirements.

Says Phillip French of Italia Living: "We're delighted to be exhibiting at the January Furniture Show. Italia Living has been present on the UK market now for five years and in that time has grown its business by providing high-quality designer-led Italian leather upholstery at competitive prices. This will be the first time we have shown at the NEC and we will be featuring new and exciting designs from one of Italy's top designers."

The show's organiser has confirmed that the new-format event will be supported by the majority of the major brands that showed in 2014, plus many more. They include Parker Knoll, Duresta, G Plan Upholstery, Westbridge, Baker Furniture, Lebus, ercol, Furniture Origins, Sherborne, Alstons, Mark Webster, Ashley Manor, Collins and Hayes, Richard Stamp, Julian Bowen, Bentley Designs, Breasley, Vogue, La-Z-Boy, TCS, Corndell, Buoyant, Furmanac, Morris Furniture Group, Global Home, Rauch, PD Global, Gallery Direct, Celebrity, Wade Upholstery, GLPC International, Libra, Exclusive UK, Iain James, Seconique, Sweet Dreams, Wiemann, ROM, Willis & Gambier, David Gundry, Bentley Designs, Skovby, Serene Furnishings and Harrison Brothers.

"It's fantastic that we've been able to encourage new exhibitors to the show, which confirms we're definitely doing something right!" Says Theresa Raymond. "We're excited by how the new format show has been received and the level of support we've had. It really is going to be unmissable!"

The show will also see the launch of The Furniture Awards, a best-in-show programme developed by Furniture News together with the event's organisers, that aims to highlight leading new product at various price points.
