The John Lewis Partnership has announced the appointment of Andy Mounsey as interim executive director for finance.
Andy, who is currently the partnership’s group finance and strategy director, has been with the business for 12 years in a number of senior finance roles. A chartered accountant, Andy previously worked at EY for 13 years, where he advised large listed clients globally across the consumer sector.
Andy will join the partnership’s executive team on 1st July to facilitate a smooth handover from Bérangère (Bey) Michel, current executive director for finance, who announced in April that she would be leaving the partnership after 16 years. Bey will leave on 6th September, at which point Andy will become interim executive director for finance.
Nish Kankiwala, the partnership’s CEO, says: “Andy is a highly experienced and valued member of our finance team, with a deep understanding of the partnership and the retail sector. I am delighted that Andy is able to support the partnership during this interim phase to ensure a smooth transition and our continued focus on executing against our transformation plan."

The process to recruit a permanent executive director, finance for the partnership is under way.
