As part of JYSK’s plans to expand in the UK, the Danish retailer will open its first store in Scunthorpe on 17th February on Lakeside Retail Park.
The store will be managed by David Dodsworth, will boast 950 sqm of floor space and will create nine jobs.
“JYSK (pronounced 'yoosk') Scunthorpe joins 29 stores in the UK and is our second store opening this year,” says Ciaron Hearns, JYSK's sales and marketing manager, UK and Ireland. “The new store and brilliant team are ready to welcome old and new JYSK customers to explore our collection of Scandi homeware and garden furniture. They will be able to enjoy our brilliant same-day click-and-collect service, AnyVan local next-day delivery service, and exclusive in-store lines.”
This year, JYSK plans to focus on bolstering its existing store portfolio to bring UK customers improved, refurbished destinations. JYSK plans to renovate six UK stores, and has seen record results in the UK and Ireland during its 2021/22 FY, increasing turnover by +11% despite challenging trading conditions.
