Danish retailer JYSK will open a new store on September 29th, in Barnsley.
The new store will be situated at Unit 2, Wombwell Lane Retail Park and managed by Matt White.
The latest JYSK concept store to open in the UK will boast approximately 1200 sqm of floorspace, and will create 12 new jobs.
“We are so pleased to be bringing JYSK to Barnsley this September and expanding our store presence in Yorkshire for local shoppers,” says Matt White, JYSK Barnsley's store manager. “The Barnsley Retail Park store will mean that local shoppers can access our brilliant same-day click-and-collect service easily as well as enjoying our exclusive in-store lines. JYSK prides itself on its in-store visual merchandising and Barnsley is no different, so we’re really looking forward to the locals of Barnsley and surrounding areas experiencing it themselves.”
JYSK Barnsley will join 26 other UK stores, with more openings planned this year.
JYSK has seen record results in its 2021/22 financial year, with total turnover increasing by +11% to DKK 36.2b, with a growth of 7.7 million customers.
