The Lars Larsen-owned retail chains Jysk, IDEmøbler, Ilva and SengeSpecialisten have become the main sponsor of the Danish NGO, Save the Children. The main sponsorship is aimed at helping children and youngsters in need, both in Denmark and around the world.
The main sponsorship includes donations totalling €268,000 during the next two years to support the work of Save the Children.
"We are looking forward to co-operating with Save the Children," says owner Lars. "Our aspiration is to work toward increasing the opportunities for education and development. We also want to do something extra in some of the countries in which we do business. In a lot of these countries Save the Children are working hard and making a difference, which means that collaborating with Save the Children makes a lot of sense."
"When large companies take responsibility towards children in need, it makes a difference in both Denmark and the rest of the world. It supports our work saving, protecting and strengthening children," adds newly-appointed general secretary of Save the Children, Jonas Keiding Lindholm.
