Loaf has confirmed that its latest and largest new 'Shack' will open its doors on Thursday 9th February 2023 in Edinburgh - the first Loaf showroom to open in Scotland.
The brand’s ninth Shack will open on Straiton Retail Park, and will be its largest showroom to date. Loaf says the open-plan, 9100 sqft site will "pay homage to life in the slow lane" and will house Loaf’s signature sofas, beds, handmade furniture and more.
A mezzanine will house a mattress testing area, and there will be 800 sqft dedicated to smaller supplies (mugs, candles, hot water bottles, etc), while colouring stations and arcade games will be on hand.
Loaf’s founder and former CEO, Charlie Marshall, who recently stepped back to let Sam Perkins (ex-Very) take the helm, says: "It’s high time people in Scotland had a bit of Loaf on their doorstep so they can kick their shoes off in style. Our new Edinburgh Shack is packed full of our squishy sofas, beds, cabinetry, lighting and plenty of loafing supplies – all basic requirements for a happy life in the slow lane! We can't wait to open the doors!”
