Furniture retailer Lukehurst was named Family Business of the Year at the Kent Invicta Chamber Business Awards 2023.
The awards ceremony and gala dinner for the event was held at Westhanger Castle on 23rd November. The Family Business of the Year category was open to any family business, irrespective of sector and size, that is owned and operated by two or more members of a single family.
Joint MD Kathryn Lukehurst comments: “We are so pleased to have won this prestigious award, which is testament to the ethos of Lukehurst, which was originally started by my grandfather, Gerald Lukehurst, in 1970. My father, Martin, later joined the business and eventually took over, with myself joining the company in 2014 and now working as joint MD with dad. Throughout this time, the hard work and good core values which Gerald instilled have been carried on by the family and the entire team.

It was a fantastic evening, which myself and nine colleagues thoroughly enjoyed.
