Mattress Online has been named as one of the UK’s official Top 100 SME Businesses by Elite Business Magazine.
The Elite Business 100 Top SME Business Awards champion new business, and Mattress Online ranked at seventh place this year, and received the Elite Business Top 100 Innovation of the Year Award.
With a turnover of almost £30m, Mattress Online is now the largest independent mattress retailer in the UK, employing 73 people. It also ranked on the Ward Hadaway Yorkshire Fastest 50 Awards (10th) and the FEBE Growth 100 (68th).
CEO Steve Adams says: “I’m elated by the EB100 results. We didn’t expect to rank as highly or to be taking home an additional award, but to be recognised nationally on this scale is incredible.
“We’re a retail business in a traditional market, but we lead from the front with innovation and our own tech, and that’s fairly rare for a retailer, especially an ecommerce retailer. We’ve built from the ground up, developed our own website, our ecommerce platform, we have our own back-end systems – all developed with the customer at the forefront.
“We want to make our transactions as smooth and easy as possible and I’m so proud that we have won this, it’s a testament to the whole team’s hard work.”
