Buying group the Minerva Furnishers Guild enjoyed a good private members' exhibition last month.
The event, which allowed Minerva's preferred suppliers to present a selection of products – including exclusives – to the buying group's members, took place at a new venue, the National Agriculture & Exhibition Centre at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire.
Minerva's group business manager, Roy Beagant, says: "We were very pleased indeed by what was, in effect, a one-off trial at this new venue for Minerva. This was a private member show, and we were fortunate enough to achieve a record attendance from our member retailers.
"From what I understand, a reasonable amount of business was written during the event, and the majority of our exhibitors gave positive comments.
"With regard to the venue itself we were more than pleased with the facilities and support from Stoneleigh Events, and have committed to the May 2017 members' show at this location."
The Autumn Furniture Show 2016, which is open to the wider trade, will be held at Telford International Centre from 11-12th October.
