Outdoor living retailer Moda Furnishings has welcomed new starters to its expanding team.
Nick Ashworth, previously marketing director at DFS, and Ella Broughton, previously head of buying at Loft Interiors, have joined Moda as the new marketing director and head of product, respectively.
Nick spent nearly a decade with DFS. During his tenure, he held a number of marketing roles, and most recently held the position of marketing director for the past three years.
Under Nick's leadership the DFS marketing team created a number of successful campaigns including partnerships with Wallace & Gromit, Team GB and Warner Bros, which significantly increased key marketing metrics including brand consideration, ROI and share of search. Over this period DFS grew market share, revenues and profitability. This led to industry recognition, with DFS winning the IPA Effectiveness Gold Award, ThinkBox Grand Prix Award and Media Week Gold Award.
Nick has a wealth of leadership, marketing and retail experience, including roles in media agencies prior to DFS.
Ella Broughton joins Moda following over 10 years of experience developing products and curating collections for household names such as Habitat, Paperchase, Oliver Bonas & Fenwick. She joins Moda following a year at Manchester-based residential interiors company Loft as the head of buying.
Ella has a wealth of experience of sourcing and developing products from all corners of the world, undertaking market research trips, factory visits and trade shows on the hunt for well-crafted products.
“I’ve worked across many homeware categories over my career, particularly home furnishings and accessories," she says. "I’ve had the opportunity to work with fantastic designers, factories and artisan makers. I hope to bring this knowledge and build on Moda’s product range by introducing new categories, offering our customers everything they need to create beautiful but functional outdoor spaces that transcend all seasons.”
