NBF bolsters marketing committee

The National Bed Federation (NBF) has welcomed four high-profile industry professionals to its marketing committee.

The new faces on the 12-strong team are: Ian Lambert, marketing director at Silentnight; Nick Williams, sales manager at Sweet Dreams; Chris Ward, group marketing director at Hypnos; and Paul Little, MD of the CPS Group.

Responsible for the trade association’s marketing strategy, the committee’s top priorities this year include ensuring the NBF’s annual Bed Show returns in a position of strength in September (21st-22nd), along with developing further market intelligence reports to help members plan their business strategies. As marcoms make an increasing shift towards digital platforms, the team has also given the go-ahead to a series of video podcasts, with an outline schedule to be announced soon.

Simon Williams, the NBF’s marketing and membership manager, says: “We’re delighted to welcome Ian, Nick, Chris and Paul and the wealth of experience they bring. The NBF’s marketing strategy is a critical part of our activity and our new members join a formidable line-up of some of the industry’s most experienced marketeers. We have a number of exciting new initiatives in the pipeline, and to have such a knowledgeable team behind our marketing drive can only be good for the whole bed industry.”

The four new members join: Fara Butt (chair), marketing director of Shire Beds; James Appleyard, sales director at Deluxe Beds; Ruairi Giles, commercial director and head of sustainability at Harrison Spinks; Jonny Mitchell, sales director at Vispring; Tony Stuart-Brown, group marketing director, Airsprung; Andrew Payne, business development director at Edward Clay & Son; Chris France, associate creative director at Leggett & Platt; and Simon Williams of the NBF.
