NBF promotes free toolkit for retailers

The National Bed Federation (NBF) has launched a free toolkit for bed retailers to help promote the importance of a comfortable and supportive bed to consumers.

The month-long campaign, MAY Be Time For A New Mattress, is being run in conjunction with The Sleep Council and provides retailers with free marketing material which includes a logo, infographics, posters, website banners and social media graphics.

Marketing manager at the NBF, Simon Williams, says: “The campaign is running throughout May and highlights the reasons why it might be time to swap an old mattress for a brand new one. The tool kit is free to access and download online.

“We all know the foundation of good sleep is a comfortable, supportive bed, regularly replaced, ideally every seven years – and this toolkit will help bed retailers continue to get this message across to consumers.”

Reinforcing key messages from the NBF Code of Practice - which was first developed in 2013 - the marketing creative focusses on the positive reasons for choosing an NBF Approved product, similar to the NBF Sleep Safe. Sleep Sound initiative.

“The NBF Code is about championing good practice and high standards in the UK bed industry,” continues Simon. “These marketing materials have also been designed to help retailers provide reassurance to consumers that the products they are buying are safe, clean and honest.

“Other toolkits for the trade are also available on the website, which include Buy British Beds, Seven Year Hitch and Teen Sleep campaigns.”
