New outreach executive for TFO

An outreach position has been introduced at The Furniture Ombudsman (TFO) to help build relationships with retailers, consumers and other stakeholders.

Natalie Williams, who has been working for the Ombudsman since 2009, will take up the new role, alongside some of her existing case management duties. She will be responsible for increasing awareness of TFO and her outreach work will involve communicating with stakeholders, including current members and prospective members, businesses, consumers, government and third sector organisations. She will also be involved in project management for new business opportunities, including managing TFO’s application for the Trading Standards Institute’s Consumer Codes Approval Scheme.

Kevin Grix, Head of The Furniture Ombudsman, says: “I am really pleased to introduce Natalie into her new role as outreach executive, a position that is vital to our vision for effective communication with our stakeholders. She will also play a key part in a number of new exciting projects. Natalie has a wealth of experience in handling cases and understands all aspects of the workings of TFO.”

Prior to taking on her new role, Natalie joined TFO in 2009 as an administrator, moving to the role of conciliation officer in 2010. In 2011, she was promoted to the position of adjudicator and MI analyst, responsible for producing reports for members and management information statistics on the performance of The Furniture Ombudsman.
