Sweet Dreams has announced major promotion and two new posts. Jackie McGarvey, who has been with Sweet Dreams for 20 years, has been promoted from sales manager to general manager. The role comes with overall responsibility for the operation of the company, and she reports, as previously, directly to Riaz Ahmed, Sweet Dreams’ owner and MD.
Jackie says: “I’m absolutely delighted with this promotion. We’ve been very busy at Sweet Dreams over the last year or so with an array of different enterprises, and it’s very pleasing to be entrusted with the general management of the company as we continue to expand.”
Jackie’s promotion follows the appointment of Nick Williams as key accounts manager. Nick is busy engaging in talks with new and existing major high street chain accounts. He says: “I am enjoying working as part of a dedicated team at Sweet Dreams, especially during such optimistic times. I’m looking forward to helping the company maximise sales opportunities.”
A further appointment is that of Paul Lamb as projects consultant. Paul, whose background is in furniture manufacture and engineering, works for other companies, but Sweet Dreams is pleased to employ him on a consultancy basis. He is currently taking a leading role in the development of new manufacturing processes. Paul says: “This is an exciting opportunity for me and I’m very happy to be helping Sweet Dreams at such a time of outstanding growth.”
Riaz Ahmed says: “Sweet Dreams has been driving forward, particularly over the last 18 months, and is witnessing expansion at many levels. The time has come for key personnel to be recognised and given the responsibilities that their aptitudes and experience equip them for. I congratulate Jackie, Nick and Paul on their new roles and wish them every success as together we help the company to flourish.”
