Feather & Black has appointed a new trade sales manager, who is keen to show nationwide interior designers, architects and specifiers what the luxury bedroom furniture retailer is made of.
James Dedrick joins the team of bed experts after 12 years at independent furniture and lighting retailer Central, based in Oxford, as contracts manager.
He hopes his global knowledge working on chalets in France, restaurants in Sydney and new developments in Boston, will help Feather & Black’s clients source the perfect items for each of their projects.
James says: “I’m excited to introduce the full trade offer to interior designers, architects and specifiers around the country – sourcing everything from luxurious linens right through to full bedroom packages and bespoke options.
“I hope to open up opportunities in new areas for Feather & Black, wholesale opportunities, package offerings for serviced apartments and hotels and pursue exports for foreign clients.”
Whilst studying PR and Marketing Communications at Leeds Met University, James worked for an independent Italian furniture agent throughout term breaks, where he developed a passion for design led furniture and lighting solutions.
After a stint as a manager in the hospitality industry, James oversaw a multi brand agency, Central, including Ligne Roset, B&B Italia, Cassina, Vitra, and Flos, where he gained a wealth of CAD and design experience.
His areas of expertise include lighting, furniture, upholstery, installations and foreign exports, after sourcing high end designer projects for colleges, universities, hotel groups, bars and restaurants and offices.
Now James wants to develop Feather & Black’s trade offer for their large range of clients.
He adds: “Thanks to my previously learned skills, Feather & Black now has the potential to offer CAD services to support our clients, and I will demonstrate how easy it is to purchase through our developing online platform.
“I’m very much looking forward to putting all my skills to the test at a well renowned furniture store that is Feather & Black.”
