Northern Big Shots raises £8000 for industry charity

Industry hot shots raised £8000 for charity The Furniture Makers' Company at last month's Northern Big Shots event.

Organised by Karen Stevenson, chairman of the charity’s North West Region arm, the annual clay pigeon shoot took place on 22nd September, once again at the Catton Hall Shooting Ground in Frodsham. 

Eighteen teams, from furnishing companies including Celtheath, Furniture Village, Howdens, Hypnos, Jay-Be, Panaz, Spinks and Tempur, took part in the popular industry fundraiser. After a spirited competition, the near-80 guests enjoyed lunch, a charity auction and raffle. Panaz’s team, Clays of Glory, was the winner of the tournament, and was presented the Top Team Cup.

Jonny Westbrooke, CEO of The Furniture Makers’ Company, says: “Northern Big Shots has established itself as a fantastic fundraising and networking event in the north of England, thanks to the hard work of Karen Stevenson and our North West Region. The £8000 raised from the event will be enable us to continue supporting people’s welfare, educating for the future and inspiring excellence.”
