Olympian Jo Pavey joins Silentnight Achievements campaign

Silentnight has launched a new marketing campaign that focuses on the benefits of quality sleep, signing Olympic athlete and supermum Jo Pavey to front its PR activity with involvement in press days and social media initiatives.

Silentnight will use its Achievements campaign to communicate the benefits of sleep through advertising, social media and PR.

Juggling a successful running career with a family, British long-distance runner Jo Pavey has taken part in four Olympic Games, and recently achieved gold in the 10,000m race at the Zurich 2014 European Championships – at the age of 41, just 10 months after giving birth to her second child.

Silentnight marketing director Nick Booth says: “If you want to achieve, you can give yourself a real headstart by getting a good night’s sleep. Sleep is vital to the whole family’s health and wellbeing, and through our Achievements campaign we hope to communicate what it can lead to, whether that’s scoring the winning goal in a football match or simply having the verve and energy to accomplish great things in general.”

Four-time Olympian, European Champion and recently runner-up for Sports Personality Of The Year, Jo Pavey, adds: “The Achievements campaign is something I can relate to personally. As an athlete and a mum, sleep is fundamental to my success, whether that be getting up very early with the children or training hard for my next big competition - I couldn’t do any of this without a good night’s sleep.”
