Origin Sleep ads halted by ASA

Several of the online advertising practices carried out by bed brand Origin Sleep have been halted by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) following a complaint by rival Simba Sleep.

Banners and copy seen on Origin Sleep's website between November and December 2025 made savings claims with countdown timers, which Simba claimed were misleading, and that the  the reference prices and associated savings claims for several products could be substantiated.

Origin Sleep pushed back against the criticisms, yet the complaints were upheld, and Origin Sleep was told that the ad must not appear again in the form complained of.
