Walton & Co, the home textiles company founded in Knaresborough in 1785,, has been sold to Pacific Lifestyle.
After 36 years of ownership, during which time owner the Marshall family says it created one of the UK's most respected trade suppliers of soft furnishings, current directors Dominic and Helen Marshall have secured a future for the Walton & Co brand with a fellow Yorkshire family business.
The acquisition marks the beginning of a new chapter for the company, ensuring the continuation of the Walton & Co product ranges.
Walton and Co will continue to fulfil orders until 30th November, when forward orders and stock will be transferred to Pacific. Thereafter, Pacific Lifestyle will assume responsibility for fulfilling all Walton & Co customer orders.
The new 2027 Walton & Co collections will be available for preview by Pacific from the 9th November.
Dominic and Helen comment: "We are pleased to have found a new home for Walton & Co with Pacific Lifestyle Ltd. The directors also expressed their sincere gratitude to the business' customers, suppliers and staff for their support over the years: "It has been our privilege to work with so many wonderful people throughout our time at Walton & Co. We thank everyone who has contributed to the success of the business and look forward to seeing the brand continue to flourish in the years ahead."
As the business transitions, Dominic and Helen say they will step back from day-to-day involvement while remaining fully engaged in supporting a smooth handover process.
