Precious Wood strikes Minerva supply deal

Minerva Furnishers Guild and China-based manufacturer Precious Wood have completed an agreement to make the manufacturer's solid oak furniture available to guild members, direct from Precious Wood's Chinese factories.

On completing the agreement, Stephen Day of Precious Wood said: "It's of great pleasure for Precious Wood to be in position to service the requirements of the Minerva association members, now and in the future, from our established factories, with a mix of product ranges of distinguished quality and design enabling direct purchasing, and bringing with it the many advantages associated with purchasing direct from source to the Minerva guild member.

"We have been in negotiation and preparation mode for several months now, working with the Minerva board of directors, ensuring that members can receive exclusive designs and products in as little as six weeks from Dalian, China – or as little as 10-14 days via UK-placed distribution service. We feel the importance of buying groups will become more important to the high street retailer now and in the future, and it's of great delight to announce our agreement with such an established group as Minerva, ensuring their members are competitive and leading the market."

MD of Precious Wood, Chris Fang, added: "It's a honour to supply our collections to the Minerva Furnishers Guild and we look forward to a long-term relationship with both the board of directors at a Minerva and each and every member of the guild, to which we are fully committed in providing a full and direct service of quality to at all times via the infrastructure and network we have put together."
