AHF has promoted Laura Chiddey to the post of commercial director.
Laura worked as a buyer for DFS from 2006-16, and was the national's head of buying for the latter four years. She subsequently moved to Fabb Sofas, where she was appointed buying director, before joining 18-store retailer AHF last August.
She has also joined the retailer's board as an executive director.
Laura's promotion follows the appointment of a new head of ecommerce, Alex Broughton, last month.
In other news, AHF MD Matt Hesketh states that the business' Abingdon store is to be closed as the site is being demolished and rebuilt from scratch. "We are just finalising the a deal to go into one of the new stores in the newly built units, which should open in approximately 12 months," he says.
