Luxury furniture brand Kesterport is closing down following 40 years of trading in the UK, and supplier Qualita has announced that, in agreement with the business, it is taking over the distribution of several of its dining collections and returning them to the market from August once stock has been replenished.
Qualita says the products will continue to be sourced from the same factories at the original specifications, with no changes to the supply chain. The first products planned for reintroduction at the last wholesale prices from Kesterport are the Kalufa dining table and Austin chairs, with additional heritage lines and selected new items also under consideration.
"This agreement has been made in good faith and reflects the strong success these products have achieved in the market," says Qualita. "Going forward, the Kesterport brand name will no longer be used, and these collections will be sold under the Qualita brand, opening a new dining furniture category within the Qualita portfolio.
"Retail partners wishing to place display orders are invited to contact their local agent or email [email protected] to be directed to the appropriate person within the company.
"New stock is due to arrive in early August and will be available for immediate delivery from stock. Retailers interested in placing stock orders are encouraged to do so as soon as possible so requirements can be considered in Qualita’s initial supplier orders.
"Any customers with strong interest in other former Kesterport dining products are welcome to contact [email protected] so their views can be taken into account as the collection is finalised.
"Qualita hopes its retail partners will continue to support these successful products as they enter this new chapter, ensuring that Kesterport’s legacy and market success continue."
Qualita is an established furniture manufacturer, making cabinet furniture for retailers in the UK and abroad, with factories based in Lithuania.
Kesterport's closing-down warehouse sale concluded at the end of last month.
