Retailer reopens following refurb

The first phase of a major refurbishment of Lenleys Home (Maidstone) is now complete.

The transformation began at the end of March as part of a number of changes across the business intended to strengthen the offer of Lenleys Home as one of the leading luxury furnishers in the South East.

The interior of the Maidstone store has been transformed with a complete range of new stock and displays as well as vital repairs to the roof. Further works are planned for the autumn, subject to planning approval, including a new look for the front entrance.

Lavinia Watts, partner with Lenleys Home and the third generation of the Watts family to manage the 86-year-old Kent business, says: “We are delighted to be able to welcome customers to our new-look Maidstone store. It was the right time for a significant refurbishment, and we hope they love the results as much as we do.

“This is only the first phase of the transformation with external building works to refresh the appearance of the building starting we hope in September, subject to planning approval from the local council.”

The refurbishment follows changes made to Lenleys Home Canterbury. Several new ranges were added to the shop floor last year, including dedicated departments for Ercol, Orla Kiely, Alexander & James, David Gundry upholstery and a large new flooring design showroom (see this month's issue).
