Savoir Beds unveils new Parisian showroom

Luxury British bedmaker Savoir has announced the opening of its first company-owned showroom in the heart of Paris’s luxurious shopping district. Set on the exclusive rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, the new store is located on one of the most sought after streets in the capital.

Following five months of refurbishment, the showroom provides a striking showcase for Savoir's luxurious hand-crafted beds. The boutique, which dates back to the mid-19th century, spans across two floors and has been refurbished with its original features intact. These renovations include ornate ceiling mouldings and the repair of a sweeping wrought iron suspended staircase which acts as a main feature in the store. Finished to an exceptional standard, the showroom features dramatic herringbone patterned smoked oak flooring, which complements the white gallery-like space to perfection.

Marking its continued expansion, the new showroom means that Savoir Beds now has 11 showrooms worldwide. Alistair Hughes, founder and MD of Savoir Beds, says: "France has been a good market for us over the last five or six years, and we felt that the time was right to open our own showroom as opposed to operating through branded dealers. So, when the opportunity arose, we had no hesitation in investing heavily in this stunning showroom.”

Savoir is set to open two more dealerships in Asia this autumn, adding to existing showrooms in Shanghai, Beijing and Taipei.

The new Parisian store is now open for business, and will be managed by Laila Cardinal, who has significant experience in the French market, including five years selling Savoir’s luxurious beds in its previous dealership.
