The implementation of STREAM, a cloud-based order, delivery and transport management software application has enabled Scandinavian House to scoop its second major award this week after winning the European Supply Chain Excellence Best SME Award.
Now in their nineteenth year, the awards celebrate the best in supply chain and logistics across Europe. Best SME is a special recognition award and are seen as the most prestigious as they are judged on the merits of entries in other categories.
Dave Pickburn, MD at Proximity and Scandinavian House directors, Anne and Dan Ridgway, collected the award from Nick Hewer, the host of Countdown and Lord Sugar’s right-hand man on The Apprentice at the ceremony in London’s Hilton on Park Lane.
Implementing STREAM at Scandinavian House helped them to manage their supply chain more efficiently, handle significantly more orders and deliver a vastly improved customer service.
Dave says: “We are delighted to have won a second award for the year, particularly in such a special category. STREAM was developed to meet the demands and complexity of the logistics and retail sectors, enabling small and medium-sized businesses to access the same software applications as much larger companies, enabling them to compete effectively.”
Anne says: “STREAM gives us the ability to be 100% on top of our orders with real-time data available quickly and efficiently. It has vastly improved our customer services.”
Dan adds: “Our partners really like how easy it is to do business with us. They are now able to do many things that they couldn’t do before we had STREAM. Winning this award gives further proof of improved business processes within Scandinavian House. Ultimately, the software has helped us to keep our customers happy, not only retailers, but end consumers as well.”
From the very start of the implementation of STREAM, Proximity has worked closely with Scandinavian House to look at ways to improve the software. This has resulted in extra functionality being added, making it easier for Scandinavian House and other users to manage their business more efficiently. In July this year, Proximity completed the integration of STREAM with Brightpearl, a leading multi-channel retail and inventory management system to enable Scandinavian House to manage its accounting, deliveries, vehicles, inventory, CRM and sales channels through a single system.
“Having STREAM fully integrated with Brightpearl now means we not only have full control over our orders and deliveries, but have visibility and control over our accounts, stock and inventory across all our various sales channels – and all in one place.”
