Industry veteran George Adams, who joined ScS Group in 2015 and served as a non-executive director and the chair of the retailer's remuneration committee, has passed away at the age of 65.
George boasted over 30 years of international experience across Europe and Asia, spending 16 years with Kingfisher, in roles which included CEO of Europe development, group commercial director and commercial MD for B&Q. He also held CEO positions at Spicers Group and Maxeda DIY Group.
ScS chairman Alan Smith comments: "I am shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden death of George, as are all his ScS colleagues. His positive contribution to the group, as a non-executive director and chairman of the remuneration committee over the last six years, will be hugely missed by us all. Our thoughts are with George's family through this difficult time."
