Dewsbury-based bedmaker Shire Beds has been shortlisted for the Small Manufacturer Award at B2B media company Insider's Made in Yorkshire 2019 awards.
It has also been nominated for two 2019 Yorkshire Choice awards – which supports regional charity Bethany's Smile – in the Independent Business of the Year and Business Woman of the Year categories. Voting for the awards is open to the public and can be accessed here.
Fara Butt, marketing director of The Shire Bed Company (pictured), says: "We are proud of our Yorkshire roots and delighted to be shortlisted for such reputable regional awards. We have had an extremely busy 12 months, expanding and developing our production facilities, and this accolade is testament to the whole Shire Beds team, who work hard to make the company what it is today."
Both awards set out to celebrate the achievement of world-class companies based in Yorkshire and the Humber and the products they are making in the region and selling across the world.
The winners for the Made In Yorkshire awards will be announced at an awards dinner on 7th March at the Hilton Hotel, Leeds. The winners for the Yorkshire Choice awards will be revealed on 6th April at the Centenary Pavilions at Leeds United.
