Silentnight appoints new CEO

Silentnight has announced the appointment of Tracey Bamber as CEO.

Tracey joins the Barnoldswick-based business from Culligan International, a global water treatment company, where she was MD for the UK and Ireland.

She succeeds Neil Anderson, who has led Silentnight since 2019 and has overseen significant change and business growth. He will remain with the business until April as Tracey transitions into the role, before departing to spend more time at home with his family.

Tracey brings a wealth of experience running consumer-facing manufacturing businesses. She has previously held senior roles at consumer goods company Newell Brands, kitchen appliances firm Franke, and Zip Water, an Australian water filtration business.

Richard Cotter, chairman of Silentnight, says: “Neil leaves with the very best wishes of everyone at Silentnight. His work over the past four years been pivotal to the success of the business and we are now uniquely placed to capitalise on this, building on our purpose of being the UK’s most trusted sleep brand and growing our presence in the wider sleep category. We wish Neil well for his next chapter and look forward to more success under Tracey’s leadership.”

Silentnight says it enjoyed a successful 2022, continuing to work in partnership with all key customers as well as landing a major contract in the hospitality sector with Premier Inn.
