As part of the launch of its children's bed range, Little Bedz, British bed and mattress brand Sleepeezee has produced a limited-edition series of its own children’s book.
Titled Watch Me Glow! the book follows the story of Frankie the firefly and their search to find their glow. Created in collaboration with Edinburgh-based marketing agency Multiply, the character of Frankie was developed in a workshop including members of the Sleepeezee team.
Head of marketing, Amy Curtis, comments: "It has been fantastic to create Watch Me Glow! and see the story of Frankie the firefly come to life. Launching Little Bedz was a huge project for all of us at Sleepeezee, and to launch such an inspiring book to sit alongside the product is something we are really proud of. It has been even more rewarding to gift a series of the books to our charity partners at The Children’s Hospital Charity, and we hope that the children find joy through our story."
Currently launched as a limited-edition piece for trade colleagues and visitors to Sleepeezee’s showrooms alongside the initial launch of the Little Bedz range, Sleepeezee has also gifted 25 copies of the book to its charity partner, The Children’s Hospital Charity, as part of its ongoing partnership to support the Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Chief fun officer at The Children’s Hospital Charity, Tchad Western, says: “We’re so grateful to Sleepeezee for their ongoing support of Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust and Charity and the generous donation of Watch Me Glow! books. Books are a very welcome distraction to children when they are staying with us and go a long way in making hospital that little bit easier. We know that our patients will really appreciate them and can’t thank Sleepeezee enough.”
The books have been circulated throughout the hospital wards for patients, and the donation came ahead of the hospital charity’s Glow in the Park festive 5k event, which takes place in Sheffield’s Endcliffe Park every December.
