Sofa manufacturer Arlo & Jacob has launched Arlo & Design, a newly refurbished studio and designer fabric upholstery service which offers trade interior designers the opportunity to create bespoke furniture for their clients using Arlo’s products and an extensive range of designer and house fabrics.
Furthermore, the company’s showroom in Fulham has been repurposed as a working studio that designers can use as their own.
Arlo & Jacob manufactures sofas at a dedicated workshop in Nottinghamshire, and says that repurposing the company’s Fulham showroom to become a working studio was a natural extension of Arlo & Design.
Michelle White, brand director at Arlo & Jacob, says: “Arlo & Design was developed as a response for more choice within the bespoke furniture world. Designers can choose from a carefully curated collection of designer fabrics to upholster our sofas, armchairs and footstools.
"But they can also use the studio as their own – use it as a comfortable and accommodating base to work with their clients, with full sight of the furniture and fabric ranges. Being able to sit on and experience the furniture and see the fabric choices is high on the wish list of any designer and their clients. The studio has been refurbished and is a sociable place for refreshments, as well as concept work.”
The Arlo & Jacob brand was recently reacquired from TCM Living by Mark and Julie Smith (see related).
