Somnus has strengthened its sales teams in both export and the UK with the appointment of a new area sales manager for the North West & Midlands in the UK and a sales manager for Germany & Austria.
James Leach joins Somnus as area sales manager for the North West & Midlands territory having previously been store manager at both Stocktons and Natuzzi in Liverpool. James has been in the industry for 10 years, in which time he has developed a passion for furniture and homes.
The Somnus export sales team welcomes Gerhard Voepel who will look after Germany & Austria. Gerhard joins Somnus with a wealth of experience in the German bed and furniture industry having held previous regional sales manager positions at Recticel Schlafkomfort, Westmont Design and Cassina.
In addition to strengthening the sales teams in the field, Jason Lowdon has been appointed to the new role of Somnus European sales and marketing director. Jason takes on responsibility for growing and developing business in continental Europe in addition to his current UK market responsibilities. He has been with Somnus for the last 7 years, with a total of 17 years’ experience in the bed industry.
