Steinhoff UK Bedding strengthens sales channels

Steinhoff UK Bedding, manufacturer of beds and mattresses under the Relyon, Dunlopillo, Myers and Slumberland brands, plans to bolster its sales functions to support its growth in the independent retail sector.

Paul Little, head of the group’s bed sales function, has made David Wescomb responsible for the Relyon and Dunlopillo independent retail sector. Paul states: “David is very passionate and dedicated when it comes to our independent customers, and it was an easy decision to give him full responsibility for this side of our business.”

Furthermore, Steinhoff has appointed Brian Levitt as its new national sales manager for the Slumberland and Myer’s brands. Brian, who joined the business in early August, will also focus entirely on the independent retail sector.

Brian will be working alongside Tony Bryant, who is retiring at the end of August after 17 years with the company. Anthony Joyce, CEO, states: “It has been a pleasure working alongside Tony, and we all wish him well in his retirement and look forward to Brian continuing the good work that Tony has achieved.

"Tony has had a decorated career, and his warm and bubbly personality will be a loss to the industry.”

Prior to joining Steinhoff, Brian worked within the furniture industry for more than 30 years, and comes to Steinhoff armed with a wealth of sales experience, particularly in the independent sector.

Brian comments: “I am very excited to be joining the Steinhoff team who have impressed me enormously with their commitment to the independent customer base. Their passion and drive to offer the best value and most commercial products will provide a great platform for us to drive the successful growth and development for the business going forwards.

“I am really looking forward to meeting old and new customers at all of the forthcoming trade shows.”
