Sussex Beds' CEO (and regular Furniture News contributor) Steve Pickering has taken a seat as a non-executive director on the board of retailer Woods Furniture (Dorchester).
Established in 1875, Woods Furniture is one of the largest quality furniture stores in South West England, with two physical retail stores and a growing national ecommerce presence.
"A new role, a new challenge, and another push outside my comfort zone," says Steve, who took up the position on 4th April. "I am looking forward to working with Hamish and his team and continuing the success and growth they have achieved in recent years whilst being committed to bringing new thoughts and experiences to the table. I am nervous, I am excited, and very much looking forward to the challenge."
