The Foam Company celebrates health and safety gold award

The Foam Company, one of the UK’s leading experts in foam products, is celebrating a gold award for its outstanding commitment to the workplace health, safety and welfare of its employees.

After having a full risk assessment, the company received the award for excellence from Peninsula Business Services, a leading provider of employment law and health and safety services in the UK.

As well as the customary practices and procedures including signage, access ways and full staff training, the company has gone the extra mile in promoting an active health and safety culture among its employees by investing in three defibrillators.

MD Michael Nash says: “Health and safety is a fundamental part of the business and as the company continues to grow we need to ensure the health, safety and welfare of our employees is provided for.

“As we aim to be the best service provider in our industry and continue to bring new innovations to the market, it’s essential that health and safety systems are in place so that we can stay focussed on the day-to-day running of the business.”

This award comes at a busy start to the year for the company as it doubled its operating space with its new southern distribution centre, allowing for the storage of 750 finished mattresses, enabling it to treble production.

The Foam Company is an innovator in foam, memory foam and latex products based in Abingdon, Oxon. Its latest range of beds and mattresses include SleepShaper Gold and Classics, Revitalise and Mammoth.
