Trendsetter acquires duvet and pillow business Delbanco Meyer & Co

Trendsetter Home Furnishings has announced its acquisition of the filled bedding business Delbanco Meyer & Company and its associated consumer brands.

The deal brings together two highly complementary companies, with common ethical and environmental sourcing policies, and a shared focus on quality.

Trendsetter Home Furnishings is a privately owned, fourth-generation family business with a £16.3m turnover and over 100 years of heritage. With a strong reputation as an innovator in the filled bedding sector, it manufactures and distributes a broad range of premium own label and branded duvets, pillows and related bedding products to a diverse range of global customers.

Delbanco is a long established and highly respected UK based supplier of quilts and pillows and it will continue to run its bed linen business.

MD of Trendsetter Home Furnishings, Claire Watkin, says: “The deal will see us integrate Delbanco’s operations into the Trendsetter group over the coming months and welcome new customers to our business.

“The acquisition is part of Trendsetter’s continued growth, ongoing success and objective to be retailers’ preferred supplier of bedding products both here in the UK and internationally.”

As an ambitious innovator, focused on continuous improvement, the Trendsetter business has grown significantly over the last three years. It has also won or been shortlisted for a number of awards recognising both the growth achieved and the strength of the strategic plan to achieve future growth.

Claire continues: “Adding the Delbanco business not only enhances Trendsetter Home Furnishings’ existing sourcing operations and supply chain, but also enables the business to further expand our existing portfolio of brands and products to provide even more choice to our valued customers.”
