Vi-Spring wins House Beautiful Gold Award for 'Best of British'

The Vi-Spring Devonshire with Wool De Luxe divan scooped the Gold Award in the ‘Best of British’ category at the 2013 House Beautiful Awards.

Beating stiff competition from other well-known brands, Vi-Spring’s all-British, all-wool bed was a clear winner. The eponymously named Devonshire is entirely handmade in Britain by Vi-Spring’s master craftsmen. It is generously filled using the best Platinum Certified pure British fleece wool, sourced from farms in Devon, where Vi-Spring’s factory is based.

As with all of Vi-Spring’s all-wool beds, the Devonshire carries the Woolmark. Vi-Spring was the first UK bed maker to achieve this endorsement in recognition of quality and guaranteed wool content.

Wool is an ideal fibre for bed-making as it is naturally soft, durable and warm. It is also breathable thanks to its complex cell structure, meaning that sleeping on the Devonshire will help to keep you cool in the summer, yet warm and cosy during the winter.

Vi-Spring is no stranger to the House Beautiful Awards - in 2011, its Shetland Collection of all-wool beds also won Gold in the Best Wool Product category. This year, the Best of British Award was presented by a true national treasure, Mary Berry.
