Wren Living launches

Wren Kitchens & Bedrooms, one of the UK’s fastest-growing kitchen and bedroom retailers, is to rebrand as Wren Living following a major expansion of its product portfolio and a new partnership with celebrity interior designer Linda Barker.

As well as displaying the wide range of kitchen and bedroom displays for which it has become renowned, Wren Living’s 40-strong network of showrooms will now feature a new collection of free-standing bedroom furniture, plus a designer kitchen range exclusively designed for Wren Living by Linda Barker.

“The rebrand is a natural step for us as we expand our offer into new areas such as free-standing home furniture,” says Wren Living MD Armando Sanchez. “Wren Living perfectly describes the wide range of home interiors products and designs on offer at Wren stores.”

The company recently completed the acquisition of the 180-acre former-Kimberly-Clark manufacturing plant in Barton-upon-Humber, which is now being converted into The Nest, a new head office complete with a centralised customer service department plus warehousing, logistics and manufacturing facilities.

The company is expecting to create around 500 new jobs over the next five years, as well as introducing 60 new stores across the UK in the next three years.

The partnership with Linda Barker is another significant step. The Linda Barker collection will be available from all Wren Living stores by Christmas 2013 and Linda is also set to star in a series of exclusive videos and other online content, offering expert advice on a whole range of subjects including interiors, crafting, cooking and entertaining at home.

On teaming up with Wren Living, Linda Barker says: “With a 35-year heritage, Wren is the perfect partner for me. Not only do we share our northern roots, we have a shared passion for top-end products at affordable prices. Together we will offer homeowners the best and most-up-to-date advice on design, style and home interiors.”

Wren Living currently employs 1200 people across the UK.
