One Nordic Furniture Company makes Nordic design originals through a number of design houses. Among its first products were the Bento chair and table by Stockholm-based design studio Form Us With Love. The name combines the Japanese slang for convenient with the Finnish tradition of bentwood.
“The broad legs are a wink at the bentwood tradition,” says Form Us With Love’s Petrus Palmér, “but at the same time it’s a bit bold. It’s definitely messing with preconceptions of Nordic design.” Online thinking is at the core of the brand, and the online store is the company’s main distribution channel.
