New for 2014, Justin Van Breda London will be unveiling its latest designs, extending the existing JVB Furniture collection at May Design Series.
There are three different ranges within the JVB furniture collection. JVB Classics features classically-inspired, pared down contemporary furniture, JVB Legacy includes pieces that are subtly refined in design and detail, while JVB Upholstery consists of covered furniture using a range of materials. All of the JVB Furniture collection is British designed and handmade in Europe to a high standard and finish, featuring a wide range of materials including natural woods and metals.
Highlights in JVB Classic include fine tapered legs and mirror detailing. New additions include a fine classical-styled wood pedestal with metal inset detailing, the Darcy oval dining table in a stained mahogany wood finish and a dark wood sideboard with elegant mirrored doors. An ottoman on a slim metal base with a leather button completes the offering.
In JVB Legacy, among the new pieces in the collection is the slender legged Lesley console table with a brushed brass metal trim as well as Cape, a chest and bedside chest – with elegant nickel edging and handles.
In JVB Upholstery, there are strikingly detailed upholstery chairs which are generous in scale. Exquisite silhouettes, whether round, square or high backed with fine edges and detailing, form part of each hand made web and sprung chair.
As with all JVB furniture, each works as an entire collection or individually as a complement to existing pieces. Each piece can be customised according to a client’s specification and need.
