La-Z-Boy UK marries tradition and technology

La-Z-Boy UK has revealed details of a new British-manufactured collection which will be displayed for the first time at this month’s January Furniture Show, taking place at the Birmingham NEC from 21st-24th January.

Williams will be produced at the brand’s UK factory in Lancashire and will offer customers a number of different seating combinations, including a 2.5-seater sofa for those looking for an alternative to the traditional two- and three-seater options.

Williams has a sleek and modern design with twin needle stitch detailing, and is available as a static product or with a manual or power recline. The collection is available in a wide choice of fabrics, including a new cover being released for 2024 called Mory.

Both the two- and 2.5-seater sofas come with the option of adding a tech console, which offers wireless charging, USB and USB-C charging ports and cooling cup holders. The console also includes storage space for people to keep their devices safe when not in use.

Visitors to La-Z-Boy UK’s stand at JFS will be able to get the first proper look at Williams, alongside two other new products - Dixie (pictured) and Mayfield - which will be available to buy in 2024.

Manufactured in the Far East, both Dixie and Mayfield are available in both fabric and leather upholstery and as static models or with manual or power recline. Like Williams, Dixie has the choice of adding a console unit to the sofa, offering storage, wireless charging and cup holders. There is also the option of adding a head tilt and lumbar support for additional comfort.

Mayfield has a more traditional appearance than both Dixie and Williams, but also incorporates the latest technology, with an optional power head tilt and USB charging.
