The new Hybrid bed from Sealy Posturepedic is a fusion of a new, technologically advanced, highly elastic gel and breathable foam merged with the latest, specially-designed, innovative springs, offering zonal support and pressure relief.
Unlike the normal memory foam beds, these Hybrid divans and mattresses are bouncy, deeply comfortable and supportive, but with the added benefit of an innovative cooling gel foam layer to eliminate too much heat – a common complaint of memory foam mattresses.
Sealy’s new Hybrid beds continue the heritage of comfort and support that always make Sealy Posturepedic beds stand out from the rest. The top layer of unique, breathable gel offers anatomically correct support, comprehensive hygienic protection and the ideal sleeping climate for every season. Under this are layers of nearly 3000 innovative mini and full pocket springs, zoned to support the spine and heavier and lighter parts of the body along its length.
The coil is a two stage design – the upper part of the spring is softer and conforming for contouring comfort, while the lower part of the spring is firmer for deep down support, and each spring is individually encased to minimise motion transfer.
In addition to Sealy’s well-known Smart Fibres, the unique appeal of these beds is a new type of flexible, stretchy soft mattress covering which will also contain Sealy’s Adaptive treatment. This is a new treatment that changes passive textiles to textiles with a dynamic response to environmental changes like temperature and humidity.
Adaptive re-uses the heat of the body to boost moisture wicking, moisture evaporation and cooling, to keep the sleeper and the mattress cool and dry through the night. Adaptive treated mattress ticking works through the bed sheets and/or mattress protector as long as the textile layers have a good breathability.
The beds also have Sealy’s unique Unicase design for total edge-to-edge support, allowing all of the bed space to be utilised without rolling off. There are six beds in this new Hybrid range, and prices are competitive, proving that innovation does not have to come at a premium price.
