South West-based furniture wholesaler Devonshire Living has reduced prices across its portfolio for the second time this year.
In response to falling shipping rates, the cabinet supplier first cut prices across individual ranges in February and March, and has now standardised its entire price list, with further reductions now live.
MD Nicolle Hockin says: "Although we hold around £3m of stock in our warehouse at any one time, a lot of which was bought in at the highest shipping expenses, we acknowledge that trade is tough at the moment, and are doing all we can to help our customers push through the generally quieter summer months.
"Now that shipping rates are at more sustainable levels, and the dollar exchange rate is also staying relatively steady, we have chosen to take a hit on older stock in order to help customers to increase sales."
On the same newsletter sent out to retailers early last month, Devonshire outlined additions to its collections including a painted bedroom collection and individual items such as benches, bench pads, painted tables and redesigned beds, all of which are due to arrive in the coming months.
