Premier Housewares’ luxury lifetyle brand, Fifty Five South, has spent over 12 months meticulously designing and renovating its new showroom, fussing over every detail to create a unique space that serves as the perfect backdrop for its collections …
Housed next to the company’s headquarters on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow, the showroom occupies an old industrial building, which has been painstakingly restored, with a view to maintaining its exterior character while completely transforming its interior.
This new space complements its existing 30,000 sqft showroom, and allows visitors to discover even more of the constantly evolving Fifty Five South collection.
Exposed brickwork and original industrial fittings pay homage to the building’s heritage, while double-height ceilings, mezzanines, and a distinctive wedge-shaped roof create a sense of drama. Flooded with natural light, the 25,000 sqft space “feels vast, open and airy, inviting visitors to lose themselves in our design-led furniture”, says the brand’s senior visual merchandiser, Emma Carberry.
“And, after obsessing over the latest paint colours, plumping cushions, and so much more, we are delighted to announce that this new space is ready to receive visitors.”
With over 4000 unique Fifty Five South products currently in stock, and hundreds more being added every month, the new showroom provides space to present even more products and ranges. Visitors will find a selection of both established and emerging interior design trends, from glamorous art deco styles to exotic Indonesian and cool mid-century modern.
The whole experience is tailored around the showroom’s guests, with 18 intimate roomsets thoughtfully configured to flow from one to the next.
As well as reflecting how the collections complement and anticipate a variety of design trends, the showroom also gives the company’s creative teams a new space in which to work.
“When you visit, there’s every chance that you’ll find our photographers setting up a lifestyle shot in the bespoke studio space,” Emma continues. “This spectacular location also offers the visual merchandisers a new canvas upon which they can portray the constant evolution of interior design. This creative, energetic space is sure to leave you feeling inspired after each visit.”
Premier Housewares’ ambition with this showroom was to create a destination for buyers and interior designers looking to immerse themselves in the latest luxury furniture, lighting, and home accessories.
“We’re proud to have created a completely unique, one-of-a-kind destination, and we’d love you to experience it for yourself. Get in touch now to arrange a personal tour,” concludes Emma.
