The Portuguese Association of Wood and Furniture Industries (AIMMP) presented a selection of Portuguese companies at the January Furniture Show this week, as part of a project entitled Inter Wood and Furniture, which supports companies' efforts towards international expansion and diversification into high-potential markets.
The January Furniture Show is the UK's principal home furnishings show, offering exhibitors and visiting buyers key business opportunities across a mix of attractive design-led furniture, lighting and decor, plus innovations in contemporary luxury.
According to AIMMP, the UK market has seen demand for Portuguese exports grow exponentially, prompting several brands to take part in this year's event: X8; Ronfe; Suffa (pictured); ARC Mobiliário; Móveis de Fontes; and Móvel Vivo.
The programme, which promotes the growth of furniture exports from Madeira, has supported more than 250 companies in more than 18 markets, and currently offers funding incentives of up to 50%.
