Warehousing in the furniture industry is becoming an increasingly method- and safety-conscious endeavour, according to Steely.
Hendry Richardson, a Steely manager with 18 years’ industry experience, says: “The ‘strong blokes lifting’ macho image is fast being seen as uncool and inefficient, with warehouse managers researching the best practices and methods within furniture warehousing industry.”
This newer approach is dictated by the need to be competitive – but has also been prompted by an awakening to the image of the industry. Furniture may be a traditional industry, says Hendry, but staff safety and welfare is a sign of a modern-minded company, and Steely is proud to support this.
“Safety and efficiency are easy and inexpensive to achieve within the furniture warehousing industry,” says Hendry.
Steely’s suite and mattress trolley designs are proven in the marketplace, and built with efficiency in the company’s factory.
Steely’s product range includes mattress stillages, mattress trolleys and forklift cages, as well as smaller stands like mattress display racks, folding suite stands and bed stands.
