Himolla – determined to emerge as one of Europe’s leading manufacturers within the sector of reclining chairs and sofa groups – has great confidence in the strength of the market, and has a network of UK-wide stockists and a wide product portfolio.
“Until recently, about 70% of our business turnover was based on sofa groups. But we now have convincing evidence that recliner chairs are a coming force in the marketplace,” says Mark Litterst, Himolla’s UK export manager.
To consolidate a market-leading position, Himolla has launched two new families of recliner chairs, enabling the company to present one of Europe’s widest selections of recliners. The latest Zerostress recliners have been developed to include an integral footrest, in line with customer expectations. Mark continues: “It is the perfect option for customers who like the look and comfort of the traditional Zerostress range but didn’t like the clutter of a separate footstool.”
The new Cosyform range of chairs is designed to occupy a rightful place at the top end of the market. Like Zerostress, the chairs are offered in various ergonomic sizes and widths, but have both manual and three-motor electric options.
From the stockist’s point of view, another advantage lies in the way the new ranges integrate into the existing Himolla concept without requiring significantly more floor space. Mark explains: “Our stockists know perfectly well which styles are best suited to their stores and will dedicate the amount of space the products deserve. It has never been our policy to impose our ideas on our partners, beyond our standard quality controls, of course.”
The new ranges received a highly positive reaction at Brussels Furniture Fair, so Himolla has geared up for the demand projected for January, but will maintain the existing strict, stockist-only policy. As coverage of the UK is almost complete, Himolla will be carefully considering which stores will be most suited to carry the brand in the future.
