June's issue: Match point

The Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 set a high bar for anyone selling upholstered furniture or bedding in the UK, and any attempts to reform them cause tempers to rise.

With the feedback deadline looming for the latest attempt, for June's issue Furniture News approached a range of stakeholders, seeking varying perspectives on the likely outcomes of a new set of regulations – read about every side of this divisive topic.

From fires to fieras, we also look back at this year’s Salone del Mobile.Milano, focus on machine-washable rugs, and share opinion pieces on everything from changing customer behaviour to ecommerce engagement – and you’ll find interviews with CloseCo’s Kit Cook, FableRoom’s Anushka Mahanti, Furniture Sales Solutions’ Adam Hankinson and Magnet’s Sophie Rose.
