NBF scheme promises to boost retail stockists

Bed retailers that stock National Bed Federation (NBF) approved member brands can boost their credibility by joining the association's Retail Champions Scheme.

"Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of sustainably and ethically made beds, from companies they can trust," says the NBF. "As such, the retailer initiative aims to raise awareness among consumers of the rigorous and independent testing on NBF members to ensure their products are reputable and made to the correct standards.

"If you already stock predominantly NBF-approved member brands, associating your business with our trusted trade body is the obvious next step."

All Retail Champions will receive a free benefits package that will support their business and reassure customers through the respected NBF tick, which appears on a PoS pack containing swing tickets, window stickers and digital assets.

Importantly, the scheme is also supported by a dynamic postcode search listing on the recently relaunched consumer website, Bed Advice UK, which attracts thousands of visitors monthly. For many consumers, this represents the first step in their bed-buying journey, and the site conveniently directs them to their nearest Retail Champion.

"Stand out further from the crowd and make the most of the advertising opportunities on Bed Advice UK, exclusively available to our Retail Champions," urges the NBF. "With National Bed Month on the horizon in March, you will also get early access to the campaign toolkit and other marketing toolkits in the pipeline for the new year.

"If you currently source at least 50% of your UK- and Ireland-made beds and mattresses from NBF members, join the existing 300 bed retailers across the country and apply today via the NBF website."
