British upholstery companies predict 2015's trends

Renowned British upholstery companies Parker Knoll, G Plan and Duresta’s award winning design teams have made their predictions for 2015's trends, and the results are as follows...

Parker Knoll
·         Blues, olive greens and metallics are this season’s hues
·         In the UK, copper, rose gold and silver will be the biggest winners of 2015. In America, layered mixes of silvery gold and black metals are proving to be a popular choice, and it’s likely we will see this trend coming into the UK market in the near future
·         Retro-inspired styling and geometric designs remain fashionable alongside heritage designs and creative upcycling in furniture design and interior decorating
·         Trending patterns for 2015 will include exotic motifs, ethnic decoration patterns and artistic details

G Plan
·         Copper will be popular within the trend of exposed and repurposed
·         Confidence will continue in mixing patterns, clashing prints and popping colour
·         As travel becomes increasingly popular, so will bringing together different interiors styles to create something truly original
·         Texture is going to play a bigger role in 2015, often at the expense of bold colour for neutrals
·         A return to glamour as consumers invest in more exciting pieces

Duresta
·         Following on from last season’s more subtle choices in shape and colour palette, bold colour is well and truly back for 2015
·         2015 will be characterised by making a statement through contemporary pieces in bright, celebratory fabrics
