CIFF Guangzhou confirms premier global position

The 57th China International Furniture Fair (CIFF Guangzhou 2026), which took place in March, has reported record international attendance, “consolidating its position as the world’s leading platform for the global furniture industry”.

Held at the Canton Fair Complex in Pazhou across two phases (18th-21st and 28th-31st March), the exhibition spanned 850,000 sqm across 90 halls, bringing together over 5,100 brands from 36 countries and regions, reaching a record high in exhibitor participation.

The fair reportedly welcomed 353,106 professional visitors from 185 countries and regions, including 64,291 overseas attendees, marking a significant 13.2% YoY increase and setting a new all-time high.

“At a time marked by geopolitical complexity and global market uncertainty, this growth in international attendance sends a clear signal – CIFF Guangzhou is increasingly recognised as the global hub of the furniture industry and a must-attend event for its key players worldwide,” the fair states.

“Its strength lies not only in scale, but in its ability to bring together a complete ecosystem of resources, enabling business development, industry exchange and innovation across the entire furniture value chain. The participation of 1,582 new exhibitors (31.8% of the total) reflects the dynamism of the platform and its growing capacity to attract new market players alongside established international brands.”

This year’s edition emphasised emerging lifestyles and evolving consumer needs. Within the Home Furniture exhibition, new thematic zones – Healthy Aging, Pet Home, Massage Chairs/Function Sofas and New Retail – highlighted key directions shaping the market, while the CIFM/interzum guangzhou launched the Global Debut Gala, collaborating with 10 equipment manufacturers to debut 24 new products.

Through its three major exhibitions – Home Furniture (430,000 sqm), Office & Commercial Space (240,000 sqm) and CIFM/interzum guangzhou (170,000 sqm) – CIFF Guangzhou once again demonstrated its ability to present a complete and integrated picture of the furniture supply chain.

Design continued to play a central role, with 227 design brands (9% more YoY) featured, while 15 themed design exhibitions fostered cross-disciplinary exploration.

“The success of CIFF Guangzhou 2026 reflects a broader transformation of the furniture industry towards a more design-driven, technology-enabled and globally connected ecosystem,” the fair concludes. “With record international participation and continuous evolution, CIFF Guangzhou confirmed its role as the platform where the future of the furniture industry is actively taking shape.”

Next year’s show will take place from 18th-21st and 28th-31st March.
